Client Brief & Project Overview

Zarco Star Building Contracting L.L.C was contracted to engineer, manufacture, and install an architectural feature wall inside the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC). As the region’s premier hub for global business summits, international trade fairs, and government exhibitions, the venue demanded a visually striking, structurally sound, and durable architectural focal point that reflected modern Emirati design aesthetics.

Scope of Work & In-House Fabrication

The scope entailed the engineering of a multi-dimensional feature wall system combining precision laser-cut metal panels, acoustic backing substrates, concealed perimeter LED channels, and bespoke architectural finishes. All structural framing and cladding panels were manufactured at Zarco Star Building Contracting L.L.C’s dedicated Dubai fabrication facility, utilizing CNC cutting and automated brake pressing to ensure sub-millimeter joinery tolerances.

Engineering & Site Challenges in an Active Convention Hub

DWTC operates under perpetual exhibition cycles with thousands of delegates circulating daily. Construction access was strictly constrained between scheduled event teardowns. Our engineers had to design the feature wall as a modular interlocking system that could be rapidly assembled on site with minimal drilling and zero hot works. The substructure was engineered to absorb ambient vibration caused by heavy event footfall and large-scale convention audio systems.

Delivery Results & Handover

The feature wall was installed, illuminated, and handed over ahead of a major international conference. The final installation delivered crisp geometric lines, seamless panel transitions, and stunning illumination that earned high praise from DWTC venue management. The project underscores our proven capacity to blend heavy industrial fabrication with refined architectural artistry.
