About the Project
This luxury jewelry boutique in Jumeirah Al Naseem required a complete restoration of its signature round gypsum cove after a previous contractor failed to achieve the correct curvature and finishing quality. The misaligned structure affected the shop’s overall appearance, especially in such a premium location. ZARCO® was appointed to rebuild the feature with precision, ensuring the final result reflected the elegance expected in a high-end retail environment.
To guarantee an exact radius and flawless symmetry, ZARCO® proposed a fully precast solution instead of traditional on-site shaping. A custom mold was created, allowing us to cast accurately curved gypsum sections that met the boutique’s dimensions. After installing a sample and securing approval from the client, the team proceeded with the full installation, ensuring consistent alignment across the entire perimeter.
Beyond structural accuracy, the boutique required a premium finish. Every joint between precast pieces was blended until invisible, creating a single continuous curve. The final step involved applying an expensive gold finish paint, which demanded perfect preparation and controlled application to achieve a smooth, reflective sheen.
The boutique’s signature feature was successfully restored, transforming a previous problem area into a highlight of the space. The new round cove now complements the store’s luxury identity, demonstrating ZARCO®’s ability to deliver fine craftsmanship and high-level detailing in prestigious retail environments.
